Cocobolo is among our favourite sounding instrument woods. Perhaps because it is a species of Rosewood, it possesses a uniquely rich and melodic series of overtones across all dynamic ranges which makes for a drum with an unmistakeable voice.

This instrument is a 14" by 6.25" featuring African Blackwood stripes in the shell and hoops, and the sound is typically wonderful.
